Class Memory
A small box in the classroom remembers each lesson, so learners can ask about it later.
- Works without internet during lessons
- Runs inside your school, not in the cloud
- Starting with a few schools
Class Memory is a small box in the classroom that keeps what matters from each lesson: the explanations, the examples, the homework and the questions the class asked. Later, learners can ask about that lesson and get an answer based on what their own teacher explained.
What learners can do
- Catch up on a lesson they missed.
- Ask for another explanation of a step they did not understand.
- Find an example from class they forgot after the bell.
- Get help with homework, using their teacher's method.
- Go back to earlier lessons before a test or an exam.
- Ask on a laptop, tablet or phone at school. From home too, if the school switches that on.
What teachers get
- No need to write the lesson up again.
- The teacher starts and stops each lesson, and a mute button on the box pauses it.
- Short notes of each lesson to check, correct or delete. The check is optional.
- Worksheets, notes and slides can be added for a class, if the teacher wants to.
- A substitute teacher can see what the class has already covered.
- It never scores, ranks or reports on how anyone teaches.
How it works
- Before the lesson: the teacher starts it.
- During the lesson: teach as normal. The box keeps the lesson notes, inside the school.
- After the lesson: if the teacher wants, a quick check of the notes.
- Any time after that: learners ask their questions.
Safe and private
- Only lesson material is kept. Names, personal conversations, discipline remarks and anything else that is not about the lesson are filtered out before the notes are saved.
- No voice recordings, ever. Voices are never saved as sound, so a lesson cannot be played back.
- No transcript is kept. The raw text is thrown away within 5 minutes, once the lesson notes are made.
- Filters can miss something. If a note holds something personal, the teacher or the school can correct or delete it.
- Everything stays inside your school, on a computer kept somewhere safe. No lesson is sent to cloud AI such as ChatGPT.
- No camera, no face recognition, no voice profiles, and it never rates any person.
- Your school is in charge. It decides how long notes are kept, and can see and delete anything at any time.
- It works without internet during lessons, and connects only when the school asks, for updates or support.
What your school needs
- A small Class Memory box in each classroom that uses it.
- One strong computer in the school, such as a Mac mini, kept somewhere safe.
- The school's own network. We set it up with your school.
Class Memory is new, and we are starting with a few schools: one classroom, set up and supported by us, with what counts as success agreed before we start. At the end your school can stop, and its data can be deleted on its own computer. It helps learners follow up on a lesson. It does not replace the teacher, and an answer can be wrong, which is why teachers can check and correct what it keeps. It is priced per classroom, and the quote depends on how many classrooms and for how long.
